The long

Access

Winifred falls sits within the Royal National Park, south of Sydney. There is a fee of $12 for a day pass.

Park your car at the carpark opposite the start of the Winifred Falls fire trail, along Warmumbul road. There is enough parking for half a dozen cars.

The Trail

The trail follows the Winifred Falls fire trail until you reach the top of the falls. Although it is a wide fire trail, it is rocky, steep and exposed so make sure you have adequate shoes with good grip and sunscreen and a hat for both you and bub.

Once you reach the falls, you can venture out onto the rock platforms above the falls. This is a great spot to stop for a snack or a feed. Just don’t let little walking bubs out of arm’s reach!

Walk down to the Winifred waterfall pool for the best vantage of the falls.

To continue to South West Arm pool, there is a faint foot track that follows the creek north, away from the waterfall for about 300m. Watch out for shrubs and trees that could poke bub in the face if you’re using a carrier here!

South West Arm pool also has a few good, flat spots for a feed stop to refuel everyone’s tummies before the steep hike back out!
